Home and Overview
The organization's two first pages. Home is the same page in every Bookbag product — the name, the counts and the workspace cards. Overview holds what needs a person, what is not set up yet, the governance journey and the people.
Pick an organization and the sidebar's MadeBook group starts with two pages:
- Home (
/organizations/<id>) — the organization at a glance. This page is the same in OpenBook, CodeBook and Madebook. - Overview (
/organizations/<id>/overview) — the organization's state: what needs a person, what has not been set up yet, and who is here.
Everything on Overview used to be on the home page. It moved, unchanged and from the same data, when every product's home became the same page.
Home
The header
The organization's icon, its name, and its description (or its industry, when there is no description).
Owners and admins rename the organization in place. Click the name, type, and press Enter to save or Escape to go back. A pencil appears on hover, with the tooltip "Rename this organization". The name is trimmed to 120 characters. Everyone else sees the name as plain text.
Two buttons sit beside it:
- Manage organization ↗ opens the organization's page at your Bookbag account in a new tab. Members, roles, invitations, chat, files, storage and AI settings are managed there. See Organizations.
- New workspace opens the workspace walkthrough. You only see it if you are allowed to create workspaces.
The two tiles
| Tile | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Workspaces | The workspaces in this organization that you can reach. |
| Members | Members linked to a registered account. Invitations still pending are not counted. The tile opens the organization at Bookbag account, where people are managed. |
The workspace cards
Under the tiles, a Filter workspaces… box and one card per workspace. The filter matches the workspace's name and mission.
Each card shows the workspace's name, its mission (or No description), and a badge when its status is not active. The footer shows:
- how many repositories it reads;
- how many members it has;
- how many agents are live in it, when there are any;
- its health score, coloured green at 70% and above, amber from 40%, red below that.
Live agents and health are read for the first twelve workspaces in the list. Other cards show the repository and member counts only.
The last card is a dashed Create a workspace card, for people who can create one. It is hidden while you are filtering, so the results read as results. When a filter matches nothing, the page says No workspaces match "…".
The Start from a repository path is on the Workspaces page, not on Home.
Overview
Organization → Overview. The subtitle reads: "{organization} — what needs a person, what is not set up yet, and who is here." The page is in the order a person needs it.
1. What needs a person
A banner at the top links to the organization's Attention page.
- When something needs a decision, the banner is red: "3 things need your judgment", with the split underneath — to intervene, to decide, to review.
- When nothing does: "Nothing needs a person right now", with how many agents are working across how many workspaces.
The live agent count covers the same first twelve workspaces as the Home cards.
2. Not set up yet
Owners and admins see a callout headed "Not set up yet" whenever a setup section has something missing. Each line states the fact and links to the page that fixes it: Governance, People, Connections, Skills or Settings. People opens the organization at Bookbag account, because people are managed there.
The reasons are the same list that puts the red dots in the sidebar; see Organizations. A Walk through setup button opens the setup walkthrough.
The governance journey
Below the callout is the governance journey card. It shows the next step until every step is done, and then becomes a one-line link back. Everyone sees it; a viewer is told which of its links are not theirs to use.
3. People and the organization's pages
Two panels, side by side:
- People — the member count and the first six members, with their initials, name or email, and their job title or role. And N more when there are more. Manage ↗ opens the organization at Bookbag account.
- Organization — links to Governance, Skills, Audit, People and access ↗ (at Bookbag account), Connections — repositories and editors, and Settings. A red dot on a link means that section has something not set up yet.
